SERI PERVAS

A UNIQUE DESTINY

Thanks to its cosmopolitan vocation, Trieste, which became a free port of the Austrian Empire, welcomed in the nineteenth century the large steamships that transported goods and people from the continent to the rest of the world. Among them stood out the Seri Pervas. Built in 1839, this large-wheeled wooden steamer sailed for years along the Danube inland, then spent another twenty years sailing the sea. A unique destiny, the perfect synthesis of an era and its vocation to unite different worlds.

Today our products take the name Seri Pervas to ideally retrace the routes and make you savour the desire for challenge and success of the many sailors and merchants who made Trieste great. When you love your land, you respect its history and soul. It is not only the name Seri Pervas that binds us to Trieste: it is also the city that hosts the factory where our products are brought forth; our botanical ingredients, juniper and other raw materials, grow in its rolling hills; the exotic spices which provide our subtle, unmistakable aromas, are shipped swiftly into its port.

It is only this way, by placing value on the places we inhabit, that we can guarantee a line of spirits created with passion and utmost attention to quality.

TANI VINI

OUR ART IS WINE, OUR LAND GALLURA

Gallura is an ancient land of traditions, great culture and art. One of these precious and ancient arts is the cultivation of grapes and the preparation of wine. In this granite land caressed by the wind and heated by the sun, a vine is born that finds the ideal conditions to create high quality wines.

The production area located in the north-eastern part of Sardinia extends almost entirely across the old OlbiaTempo province, with an appendage in the nearby province of Sassari. The area close to the sea, is characterized by smooth granite rocks shaped by wind and water, and surrounded by a thick and characteristic Mediterranean scrub. The inner part is instead marked by oak trees, cork and olive groves, almost as if protecting the ancient buildings.

The subsoil is mainly composed of granite rock, covered with variable thicknesses of coarse-grained sand, sometimes mixed with clay and thin layers of micro-elements supporting the vegetation growth. These sandy soils, are generally more suitable for viticulture and provide fragrant, pleasant and heady wines.. Combined with unique climatic and environmental factors, sun and constant wind, Gallura is one of the most suitable Italian areas for viticulture, in particular for cultivating the Vermentino grape, which is found both at sea level as well as the mountain slopes, up to 500 meters above sea level.

The climate is warm and temperate, and characterized by mild winters. Rain fall is mostly concentrated in autumn and winter, during the dormancy period of the vine, with some light rainfall in spring when the plants start to awake, and in any case less than 700 mm per year. Constant breezes characterize the Gallura area. They ensure the grape's healthy growth especially in the coastal areas as the wind in these areas is particularly salty.

Run by two sisters, Roberta and Angelica, this is truly a family affair.

IL GUSTO
DELLA COSTA

The Crusaders, returning from Palestine, brought citrus trees to their homeland so that they could continue to taste the juice of the fruits that had quenched their thirst during the Holy Wars. The first citrus groves were then planted on the Coast where they found the ideal climate for reproduction. On this coast, over the centuries, the cultivation of citrus fruits has always represented an activity of passion, intense effort and proud sacrifices for many men and women who still today climb the flowered terraces overlooking the sea to collect the "Globe of 'Gold".

We at Il Gusto della Costa transform and package our products only with the best citrus fruits harvested at the right time in various plots of land on the Amalfi Coast and then processed with traditional methods that enhance their aroma and scent.

FAMIGLIA BERTA

The company, located on the border of two lands famous for the cultivation of vines: Monferrato and Langa, has been family-run by winemakers for 7 generations.

Its vineyards, located in particularly suitable areas, from which, among other things, you can enjoy sweeping panoramas, extend on the hill of San Michele, which forms a large natural amphitheatre always exposed to the sun.

Furthermore, thanks to the different characteristics of the land, different vines can be grown: the reds Barbera, Dolcetto, Brachetto and the whites Cortese and Moscato.

Piedmont vineyards are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hills of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato become the 50th Italian site inscribed on the UNESCO list. It is the first time that a geographical area has been awarded for its wine-related culture. June 24, 2014
